ChemSlam
ChemSlam –
Science slam all about chemistry
Monday, September 4, 2023, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m, Mahler-Saal

The ChemSlam is aimed at upper school students of basic and advanced courses of all kinds, including chemistry, of course. The German Chemical Society (GDCh) wants to demonstrate with the ChemSlam how understandable and exciting - maybe even funny - chemistry can be.

At ChemSlam, a science slam with a focus on chemistry, scientists or chemistry students present topics from chemistry in a simple and entertaining way. They only have a short time (ten minutes per topic). Nevertheless, students should be able to understand the material. The audience takes an active part in the event by evaluating the individual presentations and finally deciding on a winner. In addition to the scientific content, the comprehensibility and entertainment value of the presentation are also evaluated.

The event language is German.
